Fusion provides Information Technology Security Services to the FBI by determining enterprise information assurance and security standards. This includes developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating information assurance and security standards and programs to comply with FISMA and NIST policies.
Fusion is responsible for identifying, reporting, and assisting in the resolution of security violations; establishing and satisfying information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands; performing a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment; and performing analysis and development of security features and security requirements for systems and system architectures.
Fusion also performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle, ensures that all information systems are functional and secure, performs system security tuning, provides security monitoring, and performs general and privileged user account management, among other services.
